Visualizations for recently launched tool expose online tracking
Emily Carr University’s Research Centre in Social + Interactive Media announces the launch of Lightbeam, a new Add-on for the Firefox browser that enables users to visualize online data tracking in real time. Mozilla, the developer of Firefox, partnered with the University on a year-long research project to improve Lightbeam’s interactive visualization. Read more →

In early May of this year, Emily Carr University announced a Master of Design Degree (MDes). Offered through the Faculty of Graduate Studies, this new graduate degree is the first of its kind in British Columbia and fills an important need for advanced design education both regionally and provinicially, contributing to a strong professional design community.
