A New Campus at Great Northern Way
Emily Carr University of Art + Design is one of Canada’s premier, post-secondary universities specializing in art and design education and research, offering both undergraduate and graduate degrees in the field. Having outgrown our current campus on Granville Island, we initiated a Capital Campaign to engage the support of our broader community in helping us build a new campus at Great Northern Way in Vancouver, British Columbia.
THE BIG IDEA Capital Campaign
At the heart of our $25 million dollar Capital Campaign is THE BIG IDEA – our strong belief that creativity will always be the world’s greatest natural resource. As a learning community, Emily Carr University is on purpose to organize, amplify and transform that creativity into an infinite spectrum of possibilities for our world – through practice, presentation, research and scholarship. THE BIG IDEA brings all people who share this belief together to create an extraordinary new space. There, together, we will achieve our highest intellectual and creative potentials, while sharing a common focus – to responsibly contribute value to our culture, our economy and our society at all levels.

Students will enjoy a state-of-the-art, purpose-built space with exponentially more amenities to promote their success. They will cultivate their passions, amplify their knowledge and transform themselves into creators of big ideas – they will transform our world to come.
