Rennie Marketing Systems

Bob Rennie, founder and CEO of Rennie Marketing Systems, has been at the forefront of marketing new developments and advising developers and the industry at large in the city of Vancouver and beyond. He is also a philanthropist and community leader, and is an Emily Carr’s Campaign Cabinet and Board of Governors member.

Bob has supported Emily Carr since 1997, generously funding research, bursaries, books projects, speaker series and sponsoring events such as Exhibit E. In 2013, he created a matching fund at Emily Carr to match alumni donations, allowing the university to launch the successful Match It Up campaign on Indiegogo.

Bob sits on the advisory board of Lower Mainland Steel, a corporate supporter of Canuck Place Children’s Hospice, and on the board for the Streetohome Foundation, which helps provide Vancouver’s homeless community access to safe, decent, affordable housing and support services. With the aim to help stabilize Vancouver’s Chinatown, he renovated and restored the historic Wing Sang building to house his offices and a contemporary art museum.

With a passion for contemporary art, Bob chairs the North America Acquisitions Committee (NAAC) at Tate Museum, London, is a member of the Tate International Council and sits on the Dean’s Advisory Board to the Faculty of Arts at UBC. He funds a variety of student awards and critical, thought-provoking speaker series throughout Vancouver, and in 2008, received an Honorary Degree from Emily Carr in recognition of his dedication to the arts and the arts community.
