Estate of Gwyneth Gunn

In 2004, the Gwyn and Aileen Gunn Bursary endowed fund was established to provide bursaries and Aboriginal awards to students with financial need through an astounding $1 million bequest from the estate of Gwyneth “Gwyn” Gunn. Gwyn grew up in the depression where she learned the value of frugality, hard work and investing wisely.  She worked at CBC radio as a clerk in the accounting department for over 30 years before retiring in 1986. Through Gwynn’s legacy gift, her passionate support of education continues by removing barriers and empowering students to cultivate their passions.
