Celebrating Creativity | Alumni Community
In May, Emily Carr University announced the launch of Alumni Association Chapters in Toronto, New York and San Francisco. As artists, designers, media practitioners and entrepreneurs, Emily Carr alumni play an integral role in the creative economy. Our goal is to build a community that spans the globe and gives our alumni the opportunity to reconnect, share experiences and support each other.
Just after our students return to class in September, our alumni return to Emily Carr for The Comeback, featuring events and programs that connect our alumni to each other and to the vibrant and evolving university community. This year’s speaker series, The Talkback, featured a panel of guests that reflected on their personal breakthrough moments and shared insights for creative growth. Our speakers this year included author Danielle Krysa (The Jealous Curator), photographer Tim Barber and artist Ian Wallace. The Talkback can be found online here.
This year, the Alumni Association launched a new website featuring alumni news and stories. Keep in touch at ecuaa.ca.
As 2014 draws to a close, we would like to take a moment and reflect on the many highlights from the past year. Each day, from now until December 22, we will share stories of outstanding accomplishments from the Emily Carr community. Celebrate with us and share in the spirit of creativity!
We invite you to become part of our exciting new campus journey. Learn more about THE BIG IDEA and our move to Great Northern Way.
